Meet Michael

I started working in IT while I was still in high school, eventually building a small business that exposed and introduced me to many professionals. These experiences taught me the importance of Patience, Communication, Connection, and Listening, which are the core values I’m bringing forward to my vision for the future of the Jefferson County School Board

I’m running for school board to focus on building bridges between educators and students; while also advocating for diverse pathways to student success. This includes Career & Technical Education, Concurrent Enrollment, and beyond. My goal is to encourage diverse thought and amplify as many voices as possible.

I believe we’re at a turning point in Jeffco. Trust is low, voices are being left out, and the students – the ones who should be at the center of every decision – are too often overlooked. But we also have an incredible opportunity to rebuild with transparency, honesty, tough conversations, and a commitment to student-centered solutions. This is how we can create a stronger, more connected district.

I’m proud of where I come from, hopeful about where we’re headed, and ready to serve the district that raised me.

I was born and raised in Arvada, Colorado. I not only attended and graduated from Jeffco Public Schools, I grew up in a family of educators who worked for Jeffco Public Schools.

I saw firsthand how students can fall through the cracks when they don’t fit the traditional mold. It wasn’t until I discovered Career & Technical Education (CTE)  programs through Warren Tech that I began to re-engage with learning on his own terms. These opportunities changed the course of my life.

Now I’m running to serve on Jeffco School Board because I believe every student deserves access to that kind of educational path.
